​Meryl Phair would do anything for a good story like sleeping with wolves, hunting for Sasquatch or counting every bird in Central Park. She covers local news in the mountains of Colorado as a reporter for O'Rourke Media Group, writing about happenings across Park County for The Fairplay Flume. Down the hill, she searches for stories around Denver as a freelance writer for Colorado Community Media. 

A recent graduate from NYU's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute with a master's in Magazine and Digital Storytelling, Meryl’s writing and photography have appeared in Earth Island Journal, BlueDot Living, Salon, Scienceline and others.
